In Winter of 2007 we reviewed the existing Open source projects that seemed like they might be applicable to the needs of our clients.

Ultimately the decision was made that these projects focused more on the side of a commercial clinic (billing, appointments) and not enough on the needs of our client (disease management, etc.). This lead us to decide early in Spring of 07 to continue on with our own independent efforts to found a project.
